Hi all,
We hope you’ve all been enjoying the summer and are ready to welcome the beautiful transition into fall! We are excited to invite you to our next Folkoteka Izvor – Tsigansko Liato, a Balkan folk dance party celebrating the golden moment between summer and fall. Let’s savor the last warm nights of the season and dance into the magic!
This event will take place at 7 pm on Friday, September 18th, 2026, at 18 Roth Street in Alexandria, VA. Please distribute the following flyer to other Zharava members and good friends - everyone is welcome (all ages and dancing levels!)
As always, the Folkoteka will feature a Bulgarian folk dance workshop led by Desi, which will start at 8 pm. Afterward, we’ll keep the energy going with more dynamic Balkan rhythms and folk dances, accompanied by traditional Bulgarian music and DJ Kalinka!
Don't forget that this is a potluck event, so please bring your favorite food and drinks to share.
